The following terms and conditions apply when you use FedEx.com including all the services and content on the website.  By visiting or using this site, you agree (for yourself and any organization you represent) to follow these terms and conditions.

use FedEx.com after the changes, it means you agree to the updated terms.  Some parts of the site may have their own specific terms and conditions for using special features or services.

Definitions

  • Content:  All the information, images, products, services, tools and links found on FedEx.com.
  • FedEx: Refers to FedEx Corporate Services, Inc., its parent company and its affiliates or subsidiaries.  These companies may use the rights mentioned in this agreement, but only FedEx Corporate Services, Inc. is legally responsible under these terms.
  • Services:  Any service you can use on FedEx.com or through the FedEx mobile app.  This includes tools like FedEx Ship Manager®, FedEx Delivery Manager®, Global Trade Manager, InSight, Advanced Tracking, Billing Online and FedEx Tracking services (like Proof of Delivery and Tracking Updates).
  • You:  This refers to you as an individual and the organization or company you represent.

Use of fedex.com

The website fedex.com is only for use by current or potential FedEx customers.  It is meant to help them interact with FedEx services such as shipping, tracking, getting prices, checking invoices, paying electronically, finding drop-off points, preparing documents, estimating taxes, and more.  If you are not a current or future customer using these tools for your own shipments, you are not allowed to use the site for other purposes or for someone else’s benefit.

Using bots or unauthorized scripts to collect or submit information through fedex.com is strictly forbidden.

FedEx does not accept new ideas or product suggestions through its website.  If you do submit something, it won’t be treated as confidential and FedEx may use or share it however it chooses.

fedex.com Login Registration

If you want to use certain features on fedex.com, you can register for a login.  Once registered and approved, you can access available services (depending on your country).  In the future, FedEx may add more features and you won’t need to register again to access them.

Some services may need extra sign-ups or agreements and may have specific rules.

By registering, you agree to give accurate and up-to-date information. You also agree to keep your account details updated regularly.

Services vary by country. You should only sign up for the services available in the country where your FedEx account is based.  For example, if your account is in Canada, register through fedex.com/ca, not fedex.com/us.

When you sign up, you’ll create a username and password.  You are responsible for keeping them safe and for any actions done through your account. You should:

  • Tell FedEx right away if your login is misused.
  • Always log out after using the website.

FedEx may sometimes need to verify the credit card you used to open your account.  This might include placing a small temporary hold on the card, but this is not an actual charge and it will disappear based on your bank’s policy.

Changes to fedex.com

FedEx can change, remove or update any part of fedex.com or its content at any time without giving prior notice.

Ending or Limiting Access

FedEx may stop, pause or change the website fedex.com whenever it wants, without telling you in advance.  It can also block or remove your access (or any user’s access) to the website at any time for any reason, even if others still have access.  Some legal sections of this agreement (Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, and 15) will still apply even after access ends.

No Warranty (Disclaimer)

FedEx.com, its content and services are provided “as is”, without any guarantees.  FedEx and its partners do not promise that everything on the website will always work perfectly, meet your needs, or be error-free.  They also do not guarantee that problems will always be fixed or that the content is 100% correct or reliable.

FedEx also does not promise anything about how fedex.com will work for you or your customers.  Nothing you hear or read from FedEx creates any warranty.

 Limited Responsibility (Limitation of Liability)

Using fedex.com is your own responsibility.  FedEx is not responsible for any losses or damages (like loss of data, money, or business) caused by using or not being able to use fedex.com, even if they were warned this could happen.

FedEx is not responsible for:

  • Your own mistakes or security failures (like sharing your password).
  • Problems caused by third parties or recipients.
  • Issues outside their control (like bad weather, war, strikes or government actions).

You must tell FedEx right away if your account or data is misused or if there’s a security issue.

Your Responsibility (Indemnity)

If your use of fedex.com causes any problem, you agree to:

  • Take responsibility and
  • Protect FedEx from legal claims, losses or costs.

This includes situations like:

  • Breaking the rules listed here,
  • Using the site in a harmful or illegal way,
  • Not protecting your login or data,
  • Others misusing fedex.com through your account.

FedEx Service Guide

The rules for using FedEx services are explained in the FedEx Service Guide on fedex.com.  If there is any confusion between the website information and the Service Guide, the Service Guide will apply.  Every time you send something through FedEx, you agree to follow the rules in the Service Guide unless you have a special written agreement with FedEx. These rules may change at any time without notice.

Links to Other Websites

FedEx.com may have links to other websites. These websites are not controlled by FedEx. FedEx is not responsible for the content or services offered on those sites. FedEx does not check or guarantee the quality or safety of any software on those websites. You should be careful and do your own research before using any such software.

Privacy Policy

The way FedEx uses your personal information is explained in its Privacy Notice, which you can read on fedex.com.

Export Rules

If you use fedex.com from outside the U.S., you must follow U.S. and local export laws.  You agree not to use or send anything to or from countries restricted by the U.S. (like Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Crimea).  You also confirm that you are not on any U.S. government restricted list of people or companies.

Governing Law

These terms follow the laws of the United States and the state of Tennessee.  If a court finds part of the terms invalid, the rest will still apply.  If you have a legal issue with fedex.com, you must file a case within one year in a court located in Shelby County, Tennessee.

Shipping Terms

Shipping Rules

When you use FedEx to send something (especially using Ship Manager), the terms on the shipping label, the Service Guide or other FedEx documents will apply.  If there is a conflict between them, the order of importance will be: shipping agreement, tariff, Service Guide, and these Terms.

International Shipping

If you are sending items outside the U.S., you must follow FedEx’s international shipping rules and place them properly on your documents.  You are responsible if something goes wrong because of missing or incorrect terms.

Printed Signature

If you send international shipments using Ship Manager, typing your name counts as your signature.  It means you agree to FedEx’s shipping terms.

Shipping Addresses

Unless stated otherwise, the sender’s address on the shipping label is the starting point, and the recipient’s address is the destination.

Assignment and Waiver

You cannot transfer your rights or responsibilities from these Terms to anyone else. If FedEx delays or chooses not to enforce a rule, it doesn’t mean they’ve given up that right. A waiver must be in writing and signed. One-time forgiveness doesn’t mean it will apply again in the future.

Announcements and Emails

You and FedEx must get written permission from each other before using each other’s name in a public announcement.  FedEx may email you using the address you provided on fedex.com to share information about its services.

Complete Agreement

These Terms are the full agreement between you and FedEx. Any earlier agreements (written or spoken) are replaced by these Terms. Changes to the Terms must be in writing and approved by FedEx.

FedEx ShipAlert®

You can use FedEx ShipAlert (through Ship Manager) to send free shipment notifications.  FedEx may change or stop this service at any time.  FedEx is not responsible for the content of your messages and does not promise privacy.  Do not use ShipAlert to send illegal or harmful content.  If FedEx finds misuse, it may take action, including sharing the messages with authorities.

Address Book

Your saved addresses will stay in your Ship Manager Address Book if you use it regularly.  If you do not use it for six months, FedEx may delete the addresses.  FedEx won’t delete your Ship Manager account.  Keep a backup of your addresses because FedEx is not responsible for any loss.  FedEx can change or end this feature at any time.

Courtesy Rate Quote

The rate shown by the Courtesy Rate Quote may differ from the final shipping charges due to actual weight, size, and other factors. For exact pricing, check the FedEx Service Guide or Rate Sheets.

Signature Proof of Delivery

By using Signature Proof of Delivery, you confirm you are the shipper, recipient, or a third-party payer (or authorized by them).  You agree not to use the signature for anything except confirming delivery. You accept all risks and agree FedEx isn’t responsible for any damages or losses. Only share the signature with the shipper, recipient, or payer. FedEx provides this feature “as is” without any guarantees.

Tracking Updates

You can request tracking updates only for shipments where you are the shipper, receiver, or third-party payer. Tracking updates are FedEx’s property and are free to use. You use them at your own risk. FedEx gives no guarantees and is not responsible for any problems related to the updates.

FedEx Delivery Manager®

If you are a member of FedEx Delivery Manager, you are bound by the FedEx Delivery Manager Privacy Notice.  If there is a conflict between this notice and the FedEx Privacy Notice, the Delivery Manager Privacy Notice will apply to how your personal data is collected and used.

FedEx may offer delivery options to residential recipients through FedEx Delivery Manager.  To register and use it, you agree to the following terms:

  • You confirm that:
  • You live at the address provided.
  • You are authorized to receive shipments at that address.
  • You are registering only for yourself.
  • You are 13 years or older.
  • You agree that you are allowed by the shipper to use the FedEx Delivery Manager options for each shipment.
  • If there are any fees for FedEx Delivery Manager options, you agree to pay them (see the FedEx Service Guide for details).
  • The contract for shipping remains with the shipper and FedEx Delivery Manager does not create a shipping contract with you.
  • FedEx is not responsible for any damages from following or not following your delivery instructions. If we fail to honor your request, a refund for the FedEx Delivery Manager fee is your only remedy.
  • Money-Back Guarantee:
  • If a paid FedEx Delivery Manager option fails, you may get a refund.  This guarantee can be suspended or changed by FedEx at any time without notice.
  • Refunds apply to specific services like FedEx Date Certain Delivery, Evening Delivery, and Appointment Delivery.
  • Refund Requests:
  • If a delivery option fails, you can request a refund through FedEx’s billing adjustment tool on fedex.com/billingadjustment within 90 days from the shipment date.
  • If you select Sign For A Package, you let FedEx leave the shipment at your location, and you release them from any responsibility for loss or damage.
  • If you provide delivery instructions, you release FedEx from liability for any issues resulting from them.
  • You understand that FedEx Delivery Manager may have limited, estimated, or changing tracking information.
  • You agree not to sue FedEx in a class action lawsuit related to FedEx Delivery Manager.

FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents

By using FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents, you agree to the following terms and conditions for yourself and the company you represent. If you continue using this site, you accept any future changes that FedEx might make to these terms.

Agreement with FedEx Terms

Before using FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents, you confirm that you have accepted the Terms of Use or End User License Agreement for the FedEx shipping tools, such as FedEx Ship Manager and FedEx Web Services and agree to the Conditions of Carriage (shipping rules).

Use of Electronic Documents

By using these documents, you agree to let FedEx handle your international shipments with electronic versions of documents, like invoices and certificates, instead of printed ones.

Providing Information

You agree to give FedEx all necessary details to ship your international packages including package info, your company letterhead, and a signature image.

Accuracy of Information

You confirm that all information you provide to FedEx is true, accurate, and complete.

Letterhead Validity

You confirm that the company letterhead you provide is valid and that you have the right to use it for electronic documents.

Signature Image Validity

You confirm that any signature image provided is a valid one from someone authorized by you or your company to handle shipments.

FedEx’s Use of Information

You allow FedEx to use the information you provide to ship your international packages, including your company details and signature.

Original Documents May Be Needed

You understand that some shipments may require original documents, like invoices or certificates, and it is your responsibility to provide them if necessary.

Indemnification

You agree to protect and defend FedEx from any legal issues that arise from using the information you provide. FedEx can take over its defense if needed, but you can’t settle any issues involving FedEx without their consent.
